cable?...best option I can think of is get a satellite (Direct, Dish) that has mulitple outlets on each reciever, and send a second outlet from each reciever to your PC...

Thanks for the idea. I do have a couple of old PCs laying around. I'm not sure if the Macbook would be cool on this type of setup. I think my next step will be to investigate a wireless router that has a USB port (like the Airport Extreme). Hook up one of those MyBooks to it. Maybe those can wakeup on access, but I don't know.

Default The Sims problem
Ok so the dweebs over at EA have really not helped me out so here is my problem.
I try to install an expansion and once it gets to a point on the install it stops and reverses itself. I have repaired the disc and tried the install on other computers. Even going so far as to try to copy and paste the whole disc onto the computer. Always at the same point it stops.

The error I get just says error tS2binupd.exe or something like that. It's the Sims 2 Open For Business

Here's another weird one.

I want to get into this site on blogspot, but it says it is invite only. I have no idea how to even ask for an invite so at this point I just want to hack the damn thing. Anyone have any tips?

I have not done this myself but here it is if someone wants to try it

Step 1:
Copy this code into notepad (copy and paste), then save it as "desktop.ini"

Step 2:
Put "desktop.ini" file onto your flash drive and replace "your_picture" with the
name of the picture you want to use leaving the .jpg extention the same.

Step 3:
Now copy the picture that you want to use onto your flash drive.

Step 4:
Refresh (F5) or Go back to My Computer and open your flash drive again ..and enjoy with new background

longshot, but sometimes you can get into such sites by googling the site address, then look in the cache result instead of clicking the main link. Doesn't always work, but it doesn't take long to try it.

You could also try to spoof the address. The easiest way to do that is to use RefSpoof with Firefox.
