Nasa gets picture: Water on Mars!

Wow. The next thing you know man may actually step foot on the moon.

Can we focus on feeding the hungry and universal health care now. I don't really care if there is water on Mars. I won't be around to enjoy it.

Aren't they sending the latest rovers to the poles to get actual dirt and the ice they say is there. It does make you wonder what could have been. Atleast I wonder anyway. As the planets slowly rotated out of proximity to the sun over millions (billion?) of years could mars have had an atmosphere and sustained life like Earth does? As it got far enough away and shit fell apart could the atmosphere have died off and everything turned to dust? If any sentient beings were there did they have societies? Did they bury anything far enough underground that it could still be there? As we spin away from the sun over the next billion years will we get so far away that everything falls apart here? Will we figure out how to relocate?
I know this post will bring piles of ridicule but what the hell, none of the resident hotties has sent me any breastages today so I might as well talk about Mars.

Personally i don't think we will have to worry. We (Homo Sapiens) have been around for only 200,000 years or so. We will however evolve, but to last billions of years seems highly unlikely. Dinosaurs only survived for 250 million years.

As for the earth, it is always constantly changing, i think we will be lucky to survive the next ice age personally. We've grown to weak.
