you noobs know nothing about mma. the only reason he lost was because he was preparing for a submission master, easily one of the best in the game even at 44 years old, and then all of a sudden elitexc makes him face an incredible striker who kimbo wasn't able to properly prepare for. to top it off seth hit kimbo in the back of the head which clearly was the reason for kimbo not being able to catch his wits. kimbo got screwed big time and anyone with half a brain could see that.

I don't know if I'd go that far. Petruzelli didn't come into tonight saying he was going to fight Kimbo either. He was prepping to fight someone his own weight, not 20 pounds heavier, and someone who was a nobody, not a single fight against anyone worth a damn. Both of these guys were thrown into the same fight against someone they hadn't prepared for. And Shamrock is one of the best in the game? Last I checked he was 2-8 in his last 10 fights. EliteXC had him in the fight just because of his name and history years ago, much like Tank Abbott, this fight was supposed to be an execution of a has-been. And to say that Kimbo wasn't prepared to handle an "incredible striker" (not really sure how you figure he's an incredible striker, he's a marginal fighter in UFC or Affliction, EliteXC is nothing more than the hype of Kimbo), Kimbo began as a street fighter, there's not much submission involved there, he should be prepared to go blow-for-blow every fight just because that's what his obvious strength has been. I think it was an unspectacular fight and questionable stoppage, but the fact is Kimbo should be glad he's in EliteXC because in UFC or Affliction, he wouldn't have made it through the first fight.

think kimbo was in a no win situation here..after training for 8 weeks for a guy who will try to submit him & the focus on the fight plan, then to have to change gears & re focus on someone different i think would be tuff! but then again if he didnt take the fight after shamrock was ruled out people would question why he didnt take it! seth had nothing to loose & everything to gain where as kimbo kinda in a no-win either way...hopefully he'll bounce back!!
how sweet did gina look last nite.....think im in love
