im a photographer and i tend to carry all my equipment on board we me versus checking it in (no one wants to lose 30k+ of equipment), i also tend to fly 5-6 times a year. it amazes how inconsistent airport security can be every time i fly. sometimes i get someone who is happy to hand check my film where others put a fight up with my request. ive had them not care about a pocket knife in my camera bag but also flip out over a spanner wrench which looks nothing like a knife or dangerous object in any way. hell, ive even had to pull my balls to the side just to prove i didnt have anything on me yet at the same time i had weed in my bag that they apparently didnt care about. i just wish they were more consistent with how closely they regulate their policies.
