OK - rebuttal...
First off, I do not think Favre is the savior of the Jets. The only thing I think that was good about him coming to the Jets was that it forced the Jets front office to get rid of limp-arm Pennington. (Who by the way is now starting for the fins ???) Be truthful - who would you rather have starting? Favre or Pennington?
I like it that Favre is starting because I do not think Clemens is ready to start, and when Favre does retire at the end of this season, he will have given Clemens and Ratliff time to grow. By the way, I think Ratliff will beat out Clemens for the starting job next season - he looked really good in preseason.
As far as the Jets rebuilding - I think the Jets have already accomplished a lot on the rebuilding side. I think they really only need a big strong WR cause Coles is looking haggard. They have two second yeah starters on O-linemen, a rookie D-lineman, a third year LB, 1 rookie LB, 1 rookie CB and 1 second year CB, and two safeties that are pretty young.
The Fins have already begun their rebuilding. The smartest thing they ever did was bring in Parcells, who immediately cleaned house! (maybe now they will start selling some tickets - I lived in Florida when Johnson was coaching them - they did not sell out their stadium then, I can imagine now!) They still have some cleaning to do, but I think they are on their way. Do I think the tides have turned already for them - No!
One game does not make the season. Other than last week's game against the Pats - they looked horrible. They got there ass handed to them by Arizona the week before, and they lost to the Jets in week one.
As you know - in this division, the records do not mean much when it is a divisional game. Each team plays each other pretty tough. When the Jets and Fins were pretty bad a couple of years ago, they both were able to beat the Pats who were leading the division.
I think the Pats are heading down this year, while the Bills are heading up. But I will not yet agree with you that Miami is well on it's way yet. Let's see how they do against SD in week 5.

I agree with pretty much everything, except I still would rather have Penny, just because I can't stand Favre(i know favre's better, but id still rather have pennington).
Also, i don't mean to say the fins are gonna win like 9 games this season...im just saying the progress last week is proof that they are on their way up..(within the next 3 yrs, probably).
so we pretty much agree aside some other shit. truthfully, the fins will probably get smacked around in week 5, but u gotta root for ur team anyway, right?

Screw the jets. They're done. So's Poor ol' Favre. He should have stayed retired. I love the guy, and I think he's had a great career that's influenced a lot of the QB's around the league.
The point I saw out of Monday's game, was that the Charger's D is BACK! FINALLY! For god's sake. What the hell took them so long to get rolling!?
haha nice gifs. at first it looks like a banana but then u get it....
i sorta feel bad for hochuli, but it is bullshit that the call couldn't be reversed.
if it was my team, i'd be flipping out, more because the dolphins need a win more than the chargers do(because there are no "given" wins with the fins) but i think i'd have to get over it, because even after the fumble was called an inc, you still had a chance to stop them....
but this argument could keep going. hochuli fucked up, simple as that.

I agree completely. We should have been able to stop them in the red zone, and with the 2 point. Instead, they hit us with the same damn crossing play that the panthers beat us with. This is why I'm so stoked that the D played AMAZING against the jets.
As for the dolphins, you have a reason to be optimistic. And its name is Ronnie Brown. Wow. I was cheerin like a fin-fan when they stomped the Pats.

yeah man after the first td i thought to myself...well this is nice, a 7-0 lead, but after the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4th, i was like wtf is wrong with the pats, and why are the fins beating them so easily and with the same play over and over?
it felt like the pats couldn't even bring their B/C-game(which would have beaten the fins) for some reason(down because of brady's injury?) and the fins A+ effort won it.
The game also proves what i've been going on about, which is that the pats D is getting so old now, and their idea to stick with the same guys is NOT working out:
harrison: 94
vrabel: 97
bruschi: 96
lets not forget they let asante go, which definitely hurts. (Boyd Anderson HS Alum, yeah!)

The pats broke the cardinal rule by only planning for the here and now. They had a horrible backup QB behind Brady. I don't care if he did win the first two games. He was totally unproven, and now their fans will have to suffer watching that pan out. And with their recent ideas of just hiring people that are old, grizzled vets, they now have to deal with the fact that they're all beyond their primes.
Thank god. I hate the pats, and their egotistical fans fuels that fire.
Then again, maybe I'm just bitter after watching them crush my playoff dreams the last 2 years in a row....

hey now! i disagree as a pats fan (20+ years) maybe we have picked up a few band wagoners along the way but what good team doesnt, dont think the pats were only planning for here & now but were bringing in players that were proven leaders & ya the defense is getting a bit long in the tooth & letting a.samuel go hurt but i think the qb situation was kinda the same as GB's its just apparently cassell is no rodgers

I disagree. Rodgers was a highly touted first round draft pick and a proven starter in college. Cassel was a backup to Carson Palmer and Matt Lienart. He never started a game in college and was drafted in the 7th round.
