What kind of an idiot cop does something like this in 2008 in Times Square? The good news is that he's apparently been stripped of his badge and gun "pending investigation", but really what investigation needs to take place? There was absolutely no need for this unless this cyclist had a bomb strapped to his chest.

I just watched a documentary on msnbc about cops assaults caught on tape, sad when you see someone whose supposed to uphold the law/be a respectable and trustworthy person completely abuse their powers.
