If the infection was caused by negligence from the doctor, then you have a case. The rupture could or could not be the fault of the doctor and an opinion from another doctor will be needed. Implants have been known to burst and have to be replaced over time and those risks might have been already explained to your friend. Getting a boob job is more like an oil change, you have to get them replaced every 5 - 10 years. If it wasn't the doctors fault then their might be a case against the manufacture of the implants to see if they weren't defective implants.
