Florida Teacher Arrested After Allegedly Making Out With Boy Student in Classroom

A Florida teacher has been arrested after she allegedly made sexual comments to a student and later kissed him in her classroom, FOX 13 reports.

Michele Little, 29, was charged this week with indecent, lewd or lascivious touching of certain minors and has also been placed on administrative leave from her job at Sarasota Military Academy High School.

Officials at the school are said to have reported Little to police because of rumors that she and the 17-year-old student were in an inappropriate relationship. When interviewed by investigators, the student disclosed that the relationship first began when Little made sexual comments toward him over several weeks.

“He said it started with small things when she would flirt with him by looking him up and down and making flirting remarks to him,” a police report reads, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. “She would call him dangerous because he was only 17-year-old and ‘hot.’”

On April 17, the student went to Little’s classroom over lunch break and she put up a sign stating that testing or tutoring was in progress to avoid disruption.

During this encounter, the student allegedly asked Little what she would be doing when school ended and Little responded that she would be cleaning her room. The student told police that he asked jokingly whether she needed any help, and she said yes, NBC2 News reports.

The teen came back to the classroom after school and Little found the door was propped open with a pencil to prevent the door from locking. When the student entered the room, Little closed the blinds and the student logged into a computer to make it appear as if he was working.

Little and the student then allegedly “made out” for up to 15 minutes, according to FOX 13.

Police arrested Little on Friday and she was scheduled to appear in court over the weekend for a bond hearing.

According to the Herald-Tribune, the school sent the following message to staff, students and parents: “The High School administration was made aware of an alleged incident that happened between a staff member and student that is being investigated by the Sarasota Police Department. We have come to learn that an arrest was made by the Sarasota Police Department, and any updates regarding this case will be released by the SPD.”

Former Delaware teacher arrested on rape, sex abuse charges

WILMINGTON, Delaware (WPVI) -- A former Delaware teacher was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student nine years ago.

Police in Delaware say 42-year-old Reed Messer, a former teacher at Stanton Middle School in Wilmington, was charged with rape and sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust.

On December 23, 2022, authorities they say received a report that Messer had a sexual relationship with a juvenile student back in October 2014.

The relationship reportedly lasted two months.

On April 26, 2023, Messer was arrested at her home in Greenville, South Carolina.

She was extradited back to Delaware on May 8.

Messer is being held at the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on a $310,000 cash bond.

She has not been an employee of the Red Clay Consolidated School District since November 2014.

Update Regarding Makana Masacayan, Española Valley High School special-education teacher arrested for sexual relationship with teen

A former special education teacher at Española Valley High School pleaded no contest in state District Court in Tierra Amarilla to three charges stemming from an incident in which she was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage student.

Makana Masacayan, 26, was arrested in June of last year and initially was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual penetration, fourth-degree criminal sexual contact of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and enticement of a child.

According to the criminal complaint, New Mexico State Police began investigating the teacher after a boy told his juvenile probation officer he had cellphone evidence of sexual interactions with her. Data extracted from the phone confirmed the allegations, an investigator wrote in the complaint.

Masacayan appeared in court wearing a mask and stood next to her attorney, Dorie Biagianti Smith, while entering her plea. She accepted a plea deal under which the rape charge was dismissed, and she was sentenced to three years of supervised probation on the remaining counts.

During the hearing, Biagianti Smith said that her client plans to return to her native Philippines as soon as possible since her work visa was revoked after she was criminally charged.

The attorney added that Santa Fe County Magistrate Court took possession of Masacayan’s passport, which has prevented her from moving back to the Philippines.

“The intent is for her to go immediately back to the Philippines. It’s just a matter of retrieving that passport,” Biagianti Smith said.

State District Judge Jason Lidyard indicated he would file a stipulated order for Masacayan to get permission to retrieve her passport.

As part of her plea agreement, the judge included a provision stating that she can never again work in a U.S. public school. This was welcomed by the school administration, who issued a statement expressing their relief that the case had finally come to a close.

“This behavior is not only a violation of law, it goes against the fundamental values of our schools and our society,” the statement read.

The case has sparked outrage among parents and students in the community, with many calling for stricter background checks for teachers and tougher penalties for those who commit such offenses.

The school district has since implemented new policies and procedures to prevent and respond to incidents of sexual misconduct and abuse. Airline High School English Teacher Lacey Oakes Arrested for Playing Inappropriate Sexual Games with Students

A 36-year-old teacher from Haughton, Lacey Oakes, has been arrested for inappropriate behavior with students at a Bossier Parish high school. The Bossier Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into Oakes’ behavior with students, and according to reports, she showed sexual images to a student and played a sexually explicit game with several others. There was no evidence of sexual contact between Oakes and any of the students involved.

Oakes was taken into custody on a warrant and charged with one count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and one count of Prohibited Sexual Conduct between Educator and Student. Her bond was set at $35,000. She is no longer employed by Bossier Parish Schools.

The arrest of Oakes is part of a recent wave of arrests of teachers in Louisiana. Authorities have been cracking down on inappropriate behavior by educators, and the public has been demanding greater accountability and transparency from schools.

Lindsey Rose Schneeberger, Pine Island Middle School Teacher Arrested and Charged with Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old Female Student

Rochester, MN – Lindsey Rose Schneeberger, a 24-year-old former teacher and coach, has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student. The arrest, made by the Rochester Police Department, follows allegations that Schneeberger engaged in sexual acts with the teenager at her Rochester residence.

Schneeberger, who previously worked as a volleyball coach and physical education teacher at Pine Island Middle School, is accused of crossing the boundaries of trust and authority. Amber Prince, Grand Prairie High School Teacher Arrested for Violating Probation in Improper Relationship Case with Student

Leah Queen, former Gentry, Arkansas teacher of the year admits having sex with teen student after previously pleading not guilty to 2010 illicit relationship.

A former Arkansas teacher of the year has been jailed after she admitted to having a sexual relationship with a student.

Leah Queen, 44, pleaded guilty earlier this week to sexual assault having previously pled not guilty the Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported. The guilty plea comes nine months after the educator being arrested and charged with sexual assault.

Queen, who hails from Oklahoma, was a physical education teacher at Gentry Intermediate School in Gentry, near Fayetteville. The charges led to the PE teacher being suspended while authorities investigated claims against her.

Highly awarded and respected teacher

The assault occurred in 2010 when the high school student was 17 and Queen was 31, but because Arkansas has no statute of limitations for sexual assault involving a minor, Queen can still face charges for her actions from 13 years ago.

Although the age of consent in Arkansas is 16, teachers are only allowed to have sexual relationships with students once they are 18-years-old.

The former student described sexual contact starting in the summer of 2010.

Court documents stated Queen — a highly awarded teacher — and the victim ‘engaging in deviant sexual activity’ before the minor’s senior year of high school.

She had been on a camping trip when she kissed the victim. A journal from the student also detailed various other instances of intimacy between the pair.

Queen had sex with the student in her office, her office bathroom at the school and even at home according to court documents.

Parents of the student, Queen’s ex-husband and another former school teacher all corroborated several details of the student’s accusations.

Ordered to register as sex offender

An affidavit told hows Queen befriended the victim after a basketball game, with the pair soon socializing outside of school hours.

Queen’s ex also reported seeing the victim sharing a bed with his ex-wife on several occasions.

Benton County Circuit Judge Brad Karren placed the female educator on six years of state-supervised probation and sentenced her to 5800 58 days in Benton County Jail.

She has also been ordered not to have any contact with the victim.

It remained unclear what the educator’s terms would have been had the genders been reversed as some pondered on social media.

Queen, who had been teaching grades 3-5 at the time of her arrest had been a teacher in the Gentry School District for more than 20 years, and had initially pleaded not guilty but later changed her plea.

She also agreed to never be employed as a teacher again as part of the plea agreement.

Huge fall from grace’

Queen is required to register as a sex offender and must complete a sex offender treatment program.

Queen had undergone a huge transformation in recent years as she embraced her role as a PE teacher shedding hundreds of pounds in weight dropping from 300lbs to 165lbs over the course of decade.

It is a huge fall from grace for the former teacher who in 2022 was made ‘Teacher of the Year’ at her school and who in 2019 was given a Golden Apple Award having been nominated by one of her young students to local television station KNWA.

‘When i was a girl in the second grade, I had a teacher who did not make feel like I was very much. I just wanted to love my babies. I have a passion and drive for this and they love me back,’ Queen told the station while accepting her award.

Casey McGrath, Tennessee former teacher of the month at Chattanooga Central High School charged with having month long inappropriate relationship with student.

A Chattanooga, Tennessee high school teacher, previously named ‘teacher of the month’ has been arrested and charged with the aggravated statutory r*pe of a student.

Casey McGrath, 28, a math teacher at Chattanooga Central High School was arrested by local police in Hamilton County Friday week ago after being suspended in March following claims that she had a month long ‘inappropriate relationship’ with a student.

An August 14 indictment against McGrath stated the female educator ‘unlawfully and knowingly engag[ing] in s*xual penetration with a person of at least 13 years of age, but less than 18,’ according to court documents cited by Fox News.


Faces up to 12 years prison

The legal filings noted McGrath being ‘at least 10 years older than the victim.’

The 10th-grade geometry teacher was suspended with pay on March 31 the Chatanoogan reported.

McGrath who posted $10,000 bail following her August 18th arrest is scheduled to reappear in Hamilton County Criminal Court on September 6 for her arraignment.

Aggravated statutory rape, a class D felony, is punishable by two to 12 years in prison, under state sentencing guidelines.

The 28-year-old was elected by students as ‘teacher of the month,’ according to an article in the school’s newspaper that has since been deleted.

Hamilton County Schools spokesman Steve Doremus told News 9 McGrath was no longer an employee and that the school district elected not to rehire the educator for the current school year.

McGrath had worked at central high school since 2020, she was previously employed by East Ridge Middle School.

‘I can tell she respected her students, which makes me have respect for her in turn.’

McGrath also volunteered as an assistant volleyball coach with the school, telling the student newspaper in the deleted article that her favorite part of the day was being able to spend time with students in a non-academic setting [gave] her the chance to get to know them even more’.

The deleted article noted McGrath ‘enjoying building relationships with her students,’ along with the educator’s hopes that her students ‘[would] believe in their own capability to do math’ and ‘know [that she] care[d] about them as a person, not just a student.’

‘She’s a very involved teacher,’ a student in the deleted article stated. ‘I can tell she respected her students, which makes me have respect for her in turn.’

McGrath according to her Linkldn page majored in mathematics at Lee University before getting her master’s degree in secondary education for mathematics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, according to the student article.

Not immediately clear is what led to the female educator subjugating her victim and abusing her position of trust, authority and power.
