I screwed up my left shoulder years ago (almost 25 now). It's never been normal since. Get it looked at by an orthopedic specialist. Don't use it anymore than you HAVE to until then. In fact, I'd go to your doc and they'll look at it, then refer you to a specialist.

After all this time, I'll still get times when my pinky/ring fingers tingle like they've fallen asleep. I get a sharp stabbing pain front to back just to the right of the ball. It also screws up my chest and neck muscles. Headaches, it's all messed up. Nothing can be done about it either. Totally sucks.

Yeah, docs basically just say "well, sucks to be you" and hand you bottle after bottle of painkillers.

I walked around with a torn ACL for 18 months because I was too stubborn to go the the doctor, kept having it pop out and shit and then finally got the surgery. . .only to find out that because I waited so long, I'll probably have to have a full replacement at some time because of the further damage done to my knee. Get it looked at THomas.

The doctor is going to give you pain pills and anti inflammatories and tell you to give it a while to rest then come back if it still hurts in a month.

haha i yeah i ride BMX and we are always trying new tricks and part of that learning process is falling... a lot....and hard.

I go to the doctor a lot and i go to the chiropractor once every 2 weeks because of all the twisting and neck movements get my neck out of alignment.

The fall was from the cement quarter pipe in the picture below.
I pulled off way too hard and knew pretty early that i needed to bail. So i threw my bike but when i landed on the incline i was basically trying to keep from hitting my head and my shoulder slammed hard.



That cement is not soft...

In the past year i have:
Cracked a rib
hairline fracture in my kneecap
Suffered heel bruises
numerous ankle sprains
so many scratches and bruises i cant even count

I can definitely raise my arm and it has pretty normal functionality its just the pinky is kind of numb.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I am probably going to the doctor.

Let us know what it was. I tore my labrum in one shoulder (probably in the other never went to the doctor) and it was incredibly painful, but after my operation my pinky was numb for a while because there is a nerve that runs from your neck to the tip of your fingers.... and the doctor just so happen to hit it a little bit in surgery so when i woke up i was confused why my pinky finger was numb.

Sure I never once wore a helmet when I raced or rode 600+ miles a week, but come on, you're shoulder isn't always going to take the hit for you.

And no I don't wear one joy riding either, but I do make my kids wear one. Great to be a parent, "Do as I say not as I do"

Ok Effjay then I gotta ask ig you had your ACL replaced or just repaired I had mine done about a year ago and it still hurts constantly. I am fully functional, but still dealing with pain. How long did it take you to heal?
