Default Outage on Tuesday
Verizon shut down the site due to a DMCA complaint filed against a picture uploaded by some miscreant <cough><JP04><cough>.

Verizon takes a very narrow view of the DMCA and is not amenable to following the Safe Harbor provision. Nor will they simply block a single web server on our system. So not only did TOGIH go down, but five other systems were taken offline.

Unfortunately those other five systems are business critical for us.

I don't know what the final repercussions of this event will be, exactly. I doubt if anyone will be summarily executed, but Shade does tend to be a tad biblical when he metes out his idea of justice.
