Use Stuffit expander, it should have come standard on the mac, it will prompt you for a password.

oh yeh that's right. Not sure why anyone would come in trolling but whatever.

Another program that works well for decompressing is Betterzip. Especially if its a password protected file. And yes it works for RAR's just fine. It does not create RAR files but will uncompress them. Unlike Unrar it does not automatically throw away the old compressed file though. So remember to clean up. One cool feature I've found in Betterzip is that depending on how the password was set you can see the files (songs etc...) in the item. And a lot of the more popular blogs leave a mention in there. So If you're cruising thru 4 or 5 music blogs one night and forget where you found something, you'll have a chance to find the password that way if say there is a TXT file that mentions bunalti. The you know you can search that forum. Saved a lot of search time that way myself!!!!!
