Win7 shares with 128bit encryption by default. Maybe that's the problem.

Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings and check the "file share connections" under each section. Try changing it from 128bit to 40-56bit.

You didn't state what version of Win7 you have, but did you try setting up a homegroup?

Need some Help...

So I have converted my PC to Linux (Ubuntu 10.10 - tired of shitty Microsoft software) . I got everything working well with the exception of convertxtodvd4. I have the app installed and running in Wine. The conversions run fine, but it does not see my dvd burner. Ubuntu sees my drive, and I can write the DVD to an ISO image, but then I need to burn the ISO to Disk using Brasero. I have configured Wine drives and have manually created one pointing to /media/cdrom - but it still does not see the dvd burner.

Anyone run into this issue before? Any ideas?
