Try the rapid uploader. Its way faster, plus it can resume if the connection dops out, and it records the links for you.

I have had a few instances where I upload a file, and the download link appears, but I somehow navigate away from the page or close the window by accident before I record the link , and then I have to upload the file again. The rapid uploader prevents this too..
