If you get a pop-window from
removespywarethreats.com with another window to download and install an application. Then do not click on it to close the window. It's a fake website that tried to install a trojan downloader. Yesterday I was using IE at the time (forced to) but I stopped everything, did the following:
Open up Windows Task Manager and end the process from there (both the pop-up and installation windows).
Secure delete your browser history. I use IE Privacy Keeper which will do IE, Firefox, and I think Opera.
Go here to download IE Privacy Keeper, it's free.

Spent the next 20 hours doing a full system scan with every anti-virus and anti-spyware scanner I have, and then searched my system for any file with "remove" in it. Everything came up clean.
Add the offending website to your browsers, firewall, and Spywareblaster blacklists.
