I just killed about 25 of these fuckers. They were in my bedroom, bathroom, and my roommates bedroom and bathroom. I've been told that once you start seeing termites inside your house it usually means the damage is reallllllly bad.
Anyone with experience on this? I've heard things so far as...
"You're WAY past bug bombing"
"If you're lucky it will take just a pest control visit"
"You'll likely have to get it tented"
"Worst case scenario, the damage is so bad you can't live there."
So just based off any of your own personal experiences, do any of you know which of these statements I've heard so far is the most likely outcome considering my situation.
FWIW, the termites just showed up inside the house tonight. They were not here yesterday (or this morning for that matter). I would've noticed them, I picked up on them pretty easily tonight, they were easy to spot in my bathroom moving around, I would've noticed them this morning getting in and out of the shower.

Just cause you're seeing them there is no way to know how much damage there is. You need to act quickly to have an exterminator come in an access the damage. They will put holes in inconspicuous spots of the wall and put eyes on the damage. You may be lucky to just get rid of them before the damage gets too great.

My advice is to do a spot check in the morning of the surrounding area and check to them outside. I would then call pest control and give them the rundown. I saw a few of those buggers around my house and I was able to steam off the damage. But I got lucky. Do not wait do it quickly..because some of those people could be right.
I would call out some pros... it's too risky to be taking a guess at it. Be sure to clear all bushes or brush that is directly up against the house. That's usually an easy path for them to camouflage their entrance into the house but they can get in any number of ways, really.
You can usually get some professional exterminators to come out and give you an assessment for cheap. I wouldn't gamble on in. Call the pros because it's better safe than sorry imo and you don't need to pay for the treatment if you dont want to although some might make you pay for the service call.
Just got downgraded from termites to termite swarmers... apparently a fairly common occurance around this time of year, or so I was told by the pest control lady on the phone. Still might be damage, but it's beginning to look like it's nothing a pest control pro can't fix. So thank God for that

Don't listen to him Gallow.
He just wants to scare you so he can convince you to let him come over to your house in lingerie and stick his dick in the tailpipe of his range rover thinking that will turn you on.... which we all know won't. You like Aston Martins.
