Jenna Sciabica, Marlboro, NJ teacher charged with offensively touching 13 year old teen girl in school hallway as female educator is suspended along with outrage at the school and bomb threats.

A special educations language arts teacher at a New Jersey school has strenuously denied accusations of inappropriately touching a 13 year old teen girl last month, with the allegations since sparking outrage and even back to back bomb threats.

Jenna Sciabica, 38, was suspended from Marlboro Memorial Middle School following an alleged March 13 episode of her ‘inappropriately’ interacting with a female teen student in a school hallway.

Come Friday the educator was charged with harassment following the petty disorderly persons offence, Asbury Park Press reported.


Sciabica has been the subject of a wide range of incendiary allegations raised by the alleged victim’s mother during a Tuesday, Marlboro Board of Education meeting.

The parent during the meeting dubbed Sciabica a ‘predator‘ who ‘sexually abused’ her daughter inside the school.

The board, the woman alleged, ‘failed to prevent the atrocity that happened down that hallway’ to her daughter according to the nypost.

The mother condemned the board, saying her daughter had to return to her alleged assailant’s classroom after the incident, where ‘she had more torment.’

She also criticized the board for not firing Sciabica, whose charge follows a month-long investigation by local police, News12 reported.

Sciabica’s attorney says, since then, she and her family have received bomb and death threats ‘as a result of these false and baseless accusations.’

Sciabica has indicated she now intends to file a defamation lawsuit over those allegations, according to her attorney, Mitchell Ansell.

The lawyer told APP that Sciabica plans to plead not guilty to the harassment charge.

‘We are confident that when a judge hears all the facts in this case, Jenna will be completely exonerated and her good name and reputation will be restored,’ Ansell said.

Ansell said his client ‘has been dedicated to the education of students for over 15 years’ and ‘has never had any prior allegations and/or accusations filed against her and has an exemplary record.’

The lawyer stated ‘Jenna and the student in question have known each other for 3 years,’ and that ‘Jenna has a very close relationship with this student’s family, even going as far as having been invited into their home on numerous occasions.’

‘There was absolutely nothing illegal, improper or immoral about the interaction between Jenna and this student on March 13, 2024,’ the attorney continued. ‘Sadly, as a result of these false and baseless accusations, Jenna and her family have been the victim of bomb and death threats.’

The March 13 incident took place in public view on the grounds of Memorial Middle School, Marlboro Police Capt. Stephen Levy said in a statement.

The incident involved ‘offensive touching over the clothes by the teacher upon the student in a hallway of the school,’ he said, adding it was witnessed by another staff member.

School administrators immediately notified the police and the teacher was placed on leave, he said.

Levy said the monthlong investigation included interviews, a review of footage from school security cameras and written statements. Levy did not say whether the incident was picked up by surveillance cameras.

Leading up to her suspension, Sciabica had been making a salary of $87,160. According to LinkedIn and records on the middle school website, Sciabica has worked in the district since 2008. She is also listed as a dyslexia therapist.

A bomb threat Thursday was called in and directed at the middle school and the board of education building, prompting a district-wide shut down. Police found nothing.

On Friday, a similar threat was made, prompting a two-hour delay.

The child’s mother has since responded with a released statement saying, ‘While we are happy that action is finally being taken we are disappointed at the charge … it seems like they rushed to make it seem like they’re doing something.’

Adding, ‘We are hopeful that they will do the right thing for our family and community.’

If convicted of the charge against her, the teacher faces up to 30 days in jail.

The Marlboro Township School District is home to over 4,500 students, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

Jenna Sciabica, Marlboro, NJ teacher lawsuit: Parents of alleged 14 year old molest victim seek damages against female educator, her employer and school district as teacher insists claims are baseless and an attempt at money grab.

The parents of a 14-year-old New Jersey girl reportedly molested by her female teacher and mentor have filed a lawsuit against the educator, the alleged teacher’s employer along with the school district.

Jenna Sciabica, 38, a special education language arts teacher, according to the lawsuit is alleged to have fondled the girl on March 13 in Marlboro Memorial Middle School.

Court papers filed May 1 in Monmouth County Superior Court purport the educator having groomed their daughter with sex talk, before proceeding to grope the teen girls’ breasts in a school hallway.

Lurid allegations of groping, poking and sex talk

The teacher has maintained her innocence and her attorney says the molestation accusations are false.

At the heart of the suit’s contentions are claims that the school and police mishandling the case along with being slow to act.

The suit alleges the 14 year old walking to class when Sciabica ‘just happened to be standing in the doorway of her own classroom’ and calling the student over, News12NJ reports.

The teen according to court papers, walked over to Sciabica, ‘who then began fondling and rubbing the girl’s breast with one hand. She was poking, touching, massaging, and rubbing the breast.’

The teacher is then alleged to taken the back of her hand and placed it on the girl’s forehead ‘to imply [the girl] was getting hot.’

Sciabica then ‘used both of her hands, and began rubbing . . . poking,
and inappropriately touching both of [the teen’s] breasts,’ court papers state.

‘As this was occurring, Jenna Sciabica had a gratifying smile on her face while [the teen] was frozen still, with her hands at her side completely frozen in shock,’ according to court papers.

The girl then blocked Sciabica’s hands, ‘pulling them off her breasts,” and ran down the hallway, where another teacher who witnessed the incident heard Sciabica yell for the girl to ]“come back here I want to feel and touch them again.’

The assault ‘was . . . caught entirely on camera,’ according to the filing.

Teacher calls lawsuit outrageous and a money grab

Sciabica ‘was already familiar’ with the girl because she had been tutoring her younger siblings, who have special needs, for more than a year, the complaint states.

But there’s more.

The suit also alleges Sciabica, ‘routinely and openly engaging in sexually explicit and flirtatious conversations with female students at the school in her classroom and in front of other teachers.’

Another girl, who has not joined the lawsuit, claimed Sciabica repeatedly tried to get her phone number, the filing claims.

That student alleged Sciabica would discuss other teachers’ and men’s p***s sizes and ‘would openly talk about her own sex life to her 10-14 year old students,’ the complaint states.

The second girl reported Sciabica’s ‘inappropriate conversations’ to the school guidance counselor, but nothing was done, the suit alleges.

Sciabica who was described as a ‘predator,’ by the alleged victim’s mother during a April 16 public meeting involving the Marlboro Board of Education. The board, the mom alleged, ‘failed to prevent the atrocity that happened down that hallway.’

A day after the meeting, and more than a month after the incident, Marlboro Police charged the suspended teacher with one count of harassment of unwanted touching — a misdemeanor, the Asbury Park Press reported.

In addition to Sciabica, the lawsuit filed this week names the school district, the school board and Marlboro superintendent.

It seeks unspecified damages.

Additional defendants are accused of lying about the incident and the probe or making defamatory or libelous statements.

‘We believe this lawsuit clearly . . . is a baseless defamatory accusation which is nothing more than a money grab,’ Sciabica’s attorney, Mitchell Ansell, told the nypost. ‘The woman who filed this frivolous lawsuit welcomed my client into her home and treated her like family for the past three years. She wanted my client to be actively involved in helping to raise her daughter. They treated my client as if they were her aunt.’

The attorney called the parents’ claims that Sciabica was ‘sexually grooming’ their daughter ‘absolutely outrageous.’

Added the lawyer : ‘My client has faithfully and professionally taught students for the better part of 15 years. She has an unblemished record and has received countless messages of support since these charges have been brought. We are confident that when all of the facts and relevant evidence are heard in a court of law, and not on social media, the truth will come out and my client will be completely exonerated.’

If convicted of the harassment charge against her, Sciabica faces up to 30 days in jail.

Slidell teacher has sex with teen student, more victims feared

Alexa Wingerter, Slidell, Louisiana teacher accused of sexual relationship with student as more victims feared after teacher sent barrage of illicit photos, texts to male students along with buying alcohol.

A Louisiana teacher has been accused of sending inappropriate photos, and text messages, and buying alcohol for students at a local bar, along with sexually engaging with at least one teen student, according to the Slidell Police Department.

Alexa Wingerter, 35, an educator at Slidell High School was arrested Tuesday morning, following complaints in March that she had inappropriate relationships with her male students. Police said she used various social media sites to talk to her alleged victims.

Officers said Wingerter was involved in a ‘sexual relationship with at least one 18-year-old male student.’

More victims feared

Wingerter also bought liquor for the students at local bars in Slidell, the department said, WWLTV reported.

Wingerter’s employers, the St. Tammany School Board, issued a statement following the arrest.

‘The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. Our district has responded appropriately and is fully cooperating with the Slidell Police Department in their investigation,’ Superintendent Frank Jabbia said.

‘Any allegations of inappropriate conduct are taken very seriously and are reported directly to law enforcement officials.’

‘We have strict policies in place to ensure that any behavior compromising the safety of our students is not tolerated.’

‘We will continue to prioritize the safety of our students above all else.’

It’s unclear what subject Wingerter taught at the school and for how long she was employed by the school district.

She faces charges of Prohibited Sexual Conduct Between an Educator and Student and Unlawful Purchase of Alcoholic Beverages on Behalf of Persons Under 21.

Slidell police said the investigation is ongoing and there could be more victims.

The Louisiana teacher’s arrest is the latest arrest of a female educator abusing her position of trust, authority and power to subjugate her male victims.

Slidell High School, is a public school of about 1,700 students.

I say if the adult female is over a 6/10 there should be no charges. Might be sexist but all adult males should be charged.
