Forgive me if I posted this before, but...

When I was younger, my parents were divorced, & Ma tried to make sure my sister & I were able to try a lot of different foods. One thing she used to do was make burgers instead of going to fast food. They were simplistic & cheap, but boring for me, so I wouldn't eat too many.

The next day, I would get a "bun" (like fast-food burgers, not hot dog buns) & 2 pieces each of beef & cheese, & put them in the micro for some time. (Forget how long.) I called it a "double cheeseburger" (with my initials before it, which I used as a nickname at the time, like naming it after me).

About a-decade-&-a-half ago, I started writing fiction, & the first publishing company I contacted asked me to (among other things) give them samples of different types of writing. One was writing-out directions & I felt it wasteful to describe how to do something most people know how to do, so I sent them the name & instructions.

It's just coleslaw, but it's one of those dishes that carries such a family vibe for my sister and I. She can't make it right, so I sent her that pic Thanksgiving as a bit of a tease

Shredded cabbage (by hand of course, where's the fun in a food processor?), onions, celery, and sauce. It's the sauce she cannot manage. Just mayo and apple cider vinegar. I add ground pepper to mine. But getting the taste right is one of those grandma moments -- "you have to hold your mouth just right..." lolz

Anyway, she can't make it and my son doesn't like it, so when I'm gone, the way we do coleslaw is gone
