Right. This is going too far now. Ok, it turns out that some ugly people have a talent, we find this out every year of this show and it shouldn't be quite so surprising anyway. I think it is good to celebrate a new-found talent and I don't want to be a hater, but this attention is only going to destroy her in the future because she will become yesterdays-news all too quickly.

I don't get why she is so much more special than anyone else that is talented? There are millions of singers who are just as capable. She seems like a nice, humble person from a typical Scottish town in a typical house. So I get the whole people's hero story too.

This is more of a rant about the media being so stupid and exploitative really. Can someone just explain to me why the world needs these obsessions all of the time?

I have to admit something. I actually quite like the show. I hate all these shows usually, but this one is very back to basics - people get on a stage do their thing and thats more or less it. I dont care about the finals or any of that particularly, or who wins - but I find it entertaining enough and I have no money so this kind of crap is my life just now. I do REALLY hate it when people start chanting "off" though - it really shows the vile people that make up the general population.
