Embarassed now to say it was Duran Duran 1984 Union of the Snake tour. Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We were so young and stupid, we left after they left the stage... not understanding what an encore was. Missed two encores.

Depeche Mode in 1981. I had leftside floors. I remember it vividly because I snuck in a walkman with a record feature and recorded the entire concert on tape! What is crazy is that my ticket was only 20.50 with service charge it came out to 21.50! Now if I were to buy a ticket to the same concert it would cost me almost $100!! U2 only cost me $37.50 to see back in 1984 too!

It was bad enough being ten and DREAMING about those girls singing VoulezVous but to experience it live, shit I would be more perverted than J-Mart himself

R.E.M. The "Green" tour 1987. At the (no longer in existence) Omni in Atlanta.

I was 13. An unknown couple of lesbians called The Indigo Girls opened up for them.

I must say...It was pretty fuckin' cool.

Don't feel too bad. I had to go see them at Maple Leaf Gardens when they did that tour too and when they played Canada's Wonderland almost a decade later for their Ordinary World tour. Imagine a bunch of 30 somethings in the frontrow trying to recapture their youth among teenagers. Not a pretty sight! Sadly, I've also got to admit I've seen Cher in Montreal (at least she wore that "Turn back time" getup for the concert)

Don't feel so bad.
I saw Duran Duran twice in the last six years.
And I was Older and knew better.
I would have rather seen them in 80's, not this millennium.
