I hate Lincoln too Suz but it has nothing to do with the whole slavery thing.
The Civil War was about Taxes (kind of like today). Slavery was the reason the North rallied behind and as we all know, the victorious get to write the history books.

This is why I am so astonished by people who get the huge earlobe streatchers and tattoos all over their arms, legs neck and face. I mean, WTF are you thinking and are you that starved for attention from your Daddy that you are have to do something so "extreme".
Being "Extreme" went our of fashion in the 90's so good luck finding a well enough paying job that will let you afford to pay for tattoo removal. Too bad your earlobes will never heal but at least your Grandchildren will have something to play with during your break while you work the fryolator at McDonalds right????
Your small piercings should heal fine Amy.
It's just the "Extreme" idiots I'm going off on. Don't get me started on the sub-dermal implants that make those raised designs or the whole scarring fad either.

^^^the only problem with this is you assume that everyone strives for the great paying job. some people actually prefer a job they like, as opposed to one that pays well. my nick isn't just for show, i've got lots of ink. i just happen to have mine in places where i can cover it for work. depending on the jobs i've had, i can show them or not. but there are jobs where the alternative look can be helpful. when handling your money, you want a guy wearing a suit. but creative jobs tend to employ creative people. don't knock different looking people. chances are, they're happier than you.
and Amy, real estate isn't one of the jobs that rewards too much creativity in looks. i basically wear a suit everyday.
