People make me sick too. But they are people. I would not pay to shoot kids from a clock tower and I don't know any other hunters that would either. I'll spare you the pro hunter rant cause that is not going to impact anyone's opinion. Suffice it to say that it is something my family did, I enjoy it, and I plan to keep doing it. I am not interested in hunting an animal in a pen, or in shooting animals for the hell of it, or in killing to impress redneck chicks. I strip it and fill my freezer with meat. If I mow down everything in the forest with a flame thrower, or cut all the trees down, or whatever, my escape and enjoyment is over and I don't want that. Quite the opposite, I want more mature animals.

I can justify killing the cute bunny because he fucked with my shit and I am a human. So I don't care if he is looking for food or not. Look somewhere else. Those are my tomatoes inside the garden fence.

If the bunny was looking for food in a dogs pen, his ass would likely get killed too. The dog wouldn't necessarily eat him. But the rabbit would still be dead. My dog drops dead ass animals in the house from time to time as a little present for me.

Anyway, sorry for the off topic rant.

At the zoo I worked and most big zoos across the US, they have certain guidelines to follow for different kinds of animals escapes. Some animals will just get recaptured or darted. Some will just get walked back into the exhibit by the keeper. Only a few get shot the second they get out, and one of those are polar bears. You don't take any chances with those things.
