He's a great pitcher so I'd love to see him do well (CC) but that's just a huge frame to throw around for 200 innings per year. Its got to catch up at some point. Plus, he doesn't seem to be the same kind of work out freak that guys like Clemens are, so I'm just not sure how many years he has in him. Especially at the level he was at last year.

Pavano had a history of injuries and they should've known better. Same way they should know better about A.J. Burnett, but they're still looking to throw cash in his direction. Sabathia could probably use to lose weight, but look at David Wells. He was the size of a house and he didn't break down until he was in his 40s.

Whatever happened to the "new Yankees" of trying to grow prospects from within like Hughes? Out the door after 1 year?

You ever see him or Ian Kennedy pitch? They were horrible. That was why they didn't make the playoffs. They trusted 2/5 of their rotation to unproven rookies. Didn't pan out. Shame they could've shipped them and Melky Cabrera for Santana last year. At least Santana looks like hes seen a treadmill or a salad in his lifetime.

Congrats to Albert Pujols on his MVP win.

Pujols is such a freak. If he wasn't locked down, I'm sure the Yankees would throw a few hundred million at him. Pedroia has to be the AL MVP. Its really the only sane choice.

It was a weak year for AL hitters. Maybe Cliff Lee should've won the MVP playing for such a weak Indians team. Maybe I'm just pissed he won since I hate the Sox.

It has been reported that the Giants are going to make an offer for CC later today. Also the Angels are said to have a lot of interest.

Mussina retired. One more pitcher the Yanks need to replace. I won't say its a lock with CC, but he will have to turn down the biggest paycheck to play somewhere other than the Bronx.
