Symmetrical book stacking. Just like the Philadelphia mass turbulence of 1947.

Seen a few over the last few weeks, but been a tad distracted. Apologies for the lack of posters
Noah:
Insulting, patronising mess of a flick that had an ending that makes less sense than the nonsensical source material it was derived from. 1/10
Amazing Spider-man 2:
A mess from start to finish. Disjointed scenes, out-of-place music and boring as hell, despite the frenetic action scenes. 3/10
Godzilla:
Boring, drawn out, full of characters you don't give a fuck about. The mildly positive score comes from the last 15-20 minutes alone 6/10
X-men: Days of Future Past:
Highly enjoyable, focus not only on Hugh for the whole bloody movie, which was refreshing. Amazing visuals, Lawrence in a bodysuit spreading her legs a lot and the always Awesome Dinklage. 8.5/10
Edge of Tomorrow:
Just got back from seeing this even though it's not out in the states until the 6th. Enjoyable, coherent, and damn funny in places. Mildly flat ending, which I won't spoil, but given the dearth of quality movies released so far this year, this is (so far) my best movie of 2014

Star Trek Into Darkness
Good flick. I like the twist on the familiar. Great chemistry with the actors, greatl FX. No girl on girl. 3/10 Would only spank too in deepest desperation.

R.I.P.D. Not sure why this didn't work. I think it's because they tried to make it into a Michael Bay explosionpalooza. It really should have been more character driven, with more chinese/blonde appearances and more Jeff Bridges backstory.

The Battered Bastards of Baseball is a 2014 documentary film about the Portland Mavericks, a defunct Minor League Baseball team which operated from 1973 through 1977. Owned by actor Bing Russell, the Mavericks were independent of Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, despite competing in a league of teams with MLB affiliates. The film was directed by Chapman Way and Maclain Way, grandsons of Russell.
The film features Russell's son Kurt Russell, who played for the Mavericks and worked as a vice president. The film also features Todd Field, who was a batboy for the Mavericks, Frank “The Flake” Peters, Joe Garza, Jim Bouton, and Joe Garagiola.
Pretty damn good. Thumbs up.
