Pretty fancy there. I'm kinda iffy on HP. I had a few problems with my HP laptop (after the warranty of course). 1st thing that happened was the left hinge separated from the lid. So the only thing still moving the hinge was when the inside of the lid would it, which put a lot of pressure on the plastic lid since the hinges are tight and eventually snapped the lid open. The top (when closed) of the lid had plastic molding inside which kept in place a couple of nuts for the screws that went through the hinge. It's unrepairable without getting a whole new lid because that plastic molding broke off completely.
The 2nd thing is that the wireless card is flaky. And I don't mean bad reception or won't connect. It just decides that it doesn't even want to power on. It was in that state for months and then one day it just started working again. I didn't use the wireless or even the laptop that much by that point. It worked about a year and then just recently decided it didn't want to anymore.
The 3rd thing is that heat management is terrible. The bottom of the laptop gets really hot. The harddrives get really hot. There is only one fan over the CPU and it doesn't produce much airflow. The rest of the laptop is relying on passive cooling, which just doesn't cut it. I'm pretty sure that's what lead to the death of my main hard drive in it (the one that came with the laptop). That and it was a Seagate. Seagate's seems to always die rather quickly. And I'm pretty sure the replacement drive is now starting to go bad as well, probably from heat as I bought a good brand.
I hope you don't have the same problems I did, it looks like a pretty fucking nice laptop.
I'm here to chew bubble gum and suck some dick, and I'm all out of bubble gum

When did you get yours??
I picked up mine at Best Buy and they make the recovery dics for you (which was a nice touch). All in all I (my wife) spend $700 for it. For an attitional $100 I could have gotten the 500 GB HD with 8GB of RAM but I'm not going to argue with her on this.
Totally agree with Striker on the heat issue. I've had 3 HP/ Compaq laptops, and the first two made great space heaters(newest one runs pretty cool). I've replaced hard drives at least once in all 3. But the one I'm typing this on is 4 years old, hot as hell, but light years better than the high end Dell that is sitting unused. What a piece of shit. Broken lid, powers up when it's in the mood. They said lid's my fault. Guess you aren't supposed to open them.:
