It's weird. I hear people say that WM phones are for business, yet they go out and buy a BB. BB's are purpose built for businesses. Worse, if you want data, you have to have the BB service, not just a simple data plan. Anything that goes on the phone has to comply with a BB agreement. To get any Internet access, your data is channeled through BlackBerry's servers and they DO monitor your usage.

If you're not going to use the BB service, there are better options. But I see so many people get sucked in by the commercials, so to each their own.

well update:

went to the att store, and .....they're not selling the e71x.

something is wrong with the software, so theyre semi recalling it and while nokia fixes shit with the att server, they cant sell it anymore.

so im like wtf. the rest of my family gets their fones(the bb curve 8310) and i was gonna, but i decided to hold out, just cuz i fell in love with the e71x, and i relaly am not a fan of the BB.....

so anyone know when the e71x is gonna be back up? cuz ive been googling it to no avail.

anyway, thanks again for all the feedback

im like a whole new customer, really. cuz the backstory is, we had had the old att (grandfather plan) for the past like 4+ yrs and finally switched to the new att(migrated, they call it), and so this is the first time ive had a new att sim card. so i dont think we can upgrade, but we got the whole rebate shit cuz we just renewed the contract....so they said i have to get a phone from the store, and im trying to hold out for the fucking e71x cuz i really like it, i just dont know when its gonna be fixed...
