Probably not since I am here on a mission to help the countries wildlife.It would be a pain in the ass for them and bad press. I keep my nose clean though when I am here. Can't wait to get home and break some laws:-)

BTW: Thanks everyone for all your well wishes. I am having a great time. I have very good hosts so I am always as safe as you can be when you are here.

I see the snake wine all the time. I would never ask for it, but if someone offered it to me I would drink it and make believe I liked it. I never refuse an offering from anyone here. It's like if a friend offered you a present and you said you didn't want it. If someone offers you a drink or something to eat or smoke, they are accepting you as a friend and refusing would mean that you have a problem with them. After I drank it though I would do my best to explain why it is a bad idea to drink the wine. Purely from a conservation standpoint.

This hike kicked my ass. This section of the great wall was built in the early 1500's. Much of it has been rebuilt, but most of the original construction still remains. I'll post some more when i get a chance. I am off to Nanjing in a few hours.
