The first legitimate election was held last year, and it was overwhelmingly accepted that we needed a new regime. My gripe with Obama is that he hasn't gone far enough at shaking shit up. And as to Pred's typical Drudge repost - there has already been more transparency in this administration than any other - fact. And really read the quotes and research it, and you'll find she responded to a question posed about supporting a hypothetical measure (which never was passed) that would require the posting. More bullshit out-of-context smear.

Yes there were other factors involved but it is a recurring pattern. You cannot gain benefits without costs, and if you don't produce your own food and energy, you are headed into decline. This Obama is the messiah leading the world to destruction rhetoric leads us down the wrong path. So if McCain had won would he have turned around the economy overnight? I doubt it. Somehow Sarah Palin is qualified to energize the country and lead us into the light but Obama is just a throwaway hack with no experience. Really? Pot meet kettle. I have said it before and will say it again; there can be no meaningful discourse if one side leaps to jingoistic rhetoric. Just because your side lost this time doesn't mean you take your ball and go home while calling the other side fags. That is why we have a two party democracy. It is inefficient as hell, moves at a glacial speed, and is awful in execution, but as pointed out a few hundred years ago, it is still the best thing going. Summation: Don't hate the player, hate the game.

The unconfirmed rumor is pretty confirmed according to everything I have been hearing. Fox is also reporting this guy was being watched about six months ago by the gub'mint for some posts he made. They also interviewed a guy who worked with him and he was pretty outspoken about Muslims rising up, etc. according to him.  :

You're right Strom, he IS a throwaway president and will be left to the dust bin of horrible failed presidents such as Carter and LBJ.
One of the greatest concerns that members of the Tea Party Movement like myself is that the destruction of the US Obama has achieved normally takes 3years with other presidents. Code:

Every time they try that shit the GOP loses. ie: Ford in '76 and Dole in '92 now McCain in '08. Sarah Palin is the one who will energize the GOP Conservative base to bring us back to the days of Ronaldus Magnus. She has been villified and dismissed by the Drive By's because they know this and are scared to death by her. I never thought I would post in this thread, but this is a pretty good conversation. I held my nose and voted for McCain. I enthusicastically voted for Palin. I liked Palin for the same reason I think democrats like Obama; I thought she would shake D.C. down to its very foundations. I held out hope that Obama would do that when the election was over. I thought he would go after everyone, no matter which party, call out corruption, shine light on government procedure and bring about some serious change. He hasn't. His biggest promise about healthcare meetings being broadcast on C-SPAN never happened.
Postmoves is right though, there is no one to blame but the republicans for the mess we're in now. I'm not saying the democrats are clean, but republicans had the votes and the White House to stop all this from happening, including locking down Freddie and Fannie. They just chose not to. They haven't had a conservative leadership since Newt left. And Newt isn't a super conservative. John Kasich controlled the cash flow and is the reason the budget was balanced during the Clinton years. To Clinton's credit, after the 1994 elections, he moved center-right fiscally while maintaining a center-left social outlook. I liked Dubya's foreign policies, domestically he was a train wreck. NY-23, it was a win for the republican party. A democrat was elected, but one that is much closer to the center than the republican that was shoved down the voter's throats. And it sent a huge message to the party leaders. Democrats can spin it all they like, but they would never have voted for a pro-life, pro-gun, welfare reforming democrat. If the RNC and the NRCC didn't get the message sent this week by voters, republicans will lose in 2010. If they did and they win back majorities in the House and close the gap in the Senate, it will be very interesting to watch how Obama reacts. Now I'm going to go look at boobies.
