im only a beginner so im not really that good, but i can play a few well known licks like sweet child o mine, welcome to the jungle, few rhcp solos etc, but now im starting to try and learn entire songs, im not really sure where to start tho, im thinking either black magic women by santana or californication, but i do need something easy.

ive got a slash signature epiphone (tobacco burst one) at the moment but im thinking about getting either a jackson or a fender, something with a slimmer neck because the slash is giving me problems with certain songs

what sort of music you into? and what axe you packing?

I play pretty much everything, soft quiet stuff to death metal. Ive played for 15 years or so, but only seriously for the last 4-5.

Ive got 17 axes, most of which i built myself, let me think..

2x Strats
1x Telecatser
2x Les Pauls
1x Flying V
1x Explorer
3x Ibanez RG
1x Fender stagemaster 7 string (bought)
2x Acoustics (Bought - cheap no names..)

I know what you mean about the neck. My tele has the bask neck to play.

holy shit man, nice collection! you made your own to?! that amazing...

you got any advice on an easy rock tune to start on? something simplistic, but sounding kinda cool?

Yeah, it wasnt as hard as i thought... I cant do any hollow body stuff, I don't have the gear. At least if i fuck up a solid body one, its easy to fix.. Ill see if i can dig up some pics.

Id suggest to start with slower stuff, but choose a band you like so you dont get sick of it, and so you actually like what you are playing. If you dont enjoy playing it, you wont learn much from doing it, and loose interest.
I started with Green Day, because its fairly simple.
