I'm reading Brain Droppings by George Carlin. The man was filled with levity and wit, but also with wisdom beyond his years, I love it. One of my favorite quotes from the book...
"I don't own a telescope, but it's something I'm thinking of looking into."

Just got done reading Under the Dome, Stephen King's new novel. If your a die hard fan it's pretty good. I didn't care for the ending, after a 1000 pages it came to an abrupt end that was kind of corny.
Preston & Child - Cemetery Dance
Long time fan of the Pendergast novels. A modern day Sherlock Holmes. Not my favorite book in the series, but always entertaining.
Michael Crichton - Pirate Latitudes
A posthumous release. My favorite writer whom I will miss. A terrific pirate adventure tale.

I enjoy the Pendergast stuff but it is getting derivative.
Pirate lattitudes was a good read, but I can see why it sat in Crighton's drawer until he died. It's like when Coonts wrote Sauce. Still a good read, but not what you expect from the author.
Maybe Crighton can be like Tupac and Bradley Nowell and release stuff for years after his death...
