I bought it the day it came out. I played it for a few weeks and went through all the shit like create a fighter & career mode. I tried xbox live but it was hard to even find an opponent. I pretty much lost interest in career mode because they have you fighting 10 times a year and some of the stuff needs to be something you can automate if you choose. Like putting sponsor patches on you shorts. I just want to have the most logos of the highest paying fuckers. I don't want to have to choose where they go. Little shit like that got old to me, but the biggest things were the unrealistic timeline, not having the ability to refuse fights, and having to repeatedly fight the same guys because there are on about 15-20 fighters in each weight class so you're having rematches less than 10 fights into your career.
After never being able to get fights on xbox live I played with various fighters against the computer on expert, but it got old after a while. I like games where I can move back and forth between parts of the game. Like in GTA where you can randomly kill til you're bored then do missions. I guess I like variety and the only part I enjoyed was the fighting.
The gameplay is pretty good. There are somethings that could be improved like fighting against the cage & checking leg kicks, but I think it's the best aspect of the game. They did really well for the first try.
I give the game as a whole a C+. It was a good start to a series, but it has a long way to go before it's great. Sorry for the long review.
