Ferg's the reason it's being watched but at the same time they're going to push away most of the real MMA fans (that's if they haven't done that already) by continuing to promote him as the main event. With a lot of the talented guys they have on their roster, there are other directions they should be going. If they push away the more dedicated MMA fan now, their ratings are going to plummet on Shotime and they're not going to make it to their next CBS broadcast.
Now, with that said, I love watching Kimbo fight. The guy is a freak show, throws bombs and if he connects, it's awesome. The fight was stopped early, but I'm not sure it was to protect their Golden boy so much as just a bad stoppage. Just like when Lesnar got stood up after some punches to the back of the head with Mir or Chael Sonen screaming "No!" but still losing his fight to Fihlo because of the rep stoppage, refs are definitely not perfect just like any sport. I am all for a conspiracy theory, and the Kimbo fight definitely reeks of it, but there is the chance that it was just a bad call. I'm personally still fuming over the Smith/Lawler match though.

Did anyone see if Smith said he couldn't see out of his eye like is being said? All I saw was him saying NO. That was by far the best fight on that card.
