incredible. 21 pages and not one Tribe fan. yeah, this year they suck. really disappointing considering the playoffs last season. seems they've given up and started gearing for next year. oh well, another year of "we'll get 'em next year"

Not a tribe fan but been a big fan of Sizemore and Victor Martinez since they both came in. Cleveland's another of those teams I don't mind seeing win.

There was one other Braves fan I think on the first page. Guess that makes 2 of us now.
But man I gotta say that trade is a dreary sign. It's been a decade and a half since we were sellers at the trading deadline. But we've been decimated by injuries and we don't appear able to take out the teams ahead of us this year. Perhaps we can try to resign him when his contract ends (which is at the end of the season). He said often how much he loves Atlanta and the staff and organization. I just wish they would find a real buyer who really wants to own a baseball team, not some corporate pinheads trying to figure out why that department isn't making enough money.
I don't know anything about those kids from Anaheim. Are either good prospects? Considering we gave up a topnotch catching prospect to get Texiera I hope we got something out of this.

Whoa, man. Trading deadline comin up and the Marlins are being talked about...amazing.
I think Manny might actually come to the Marlins...I just hope Hermida stays a Marlin; even though he's inconsistent, you can tell he's got the talent to be special.
Shit, the Marlins would just become the worst fielding team in the league, though...and HRs would definitely go up...the proposed trade includes the Pirates, though.
Something like:
Red Sox receive:
Jason Bay
Marlins receive:
Manny Ramirez
Ryan Doumit
Pirates Receive:
Jeff Allison
Ryan Tucker
Jeremy Hermida
Couple Red Sox Prospects
Amazing Trade!!!! For all teams. Bring up Maybin and move Ross to Right.
Championship.....
That would be a hell of a trade I hate to see Bay waste away in PItts but I think I'd hate it even more to see him in a BoSox uni... but would be a heck of a pickup imo. No headaches and many more good years ahead for him.

yeah i know but can u believe they've stayed in the race with that horrible fielding+leading the league in HRs+and decent enough pitching?
the bullpen is actually not bad...as soon as the guys get into their grooves(back from injuries) such as Josh Johnson and Anibal....the fish could be lethal.
Think about it: these guys coming off injuries will be that much fresher than the rest of the league...so we'll see.

No you are right I will never get that chance. But I have been to Yankee land and they are the rudest people on the planet. I will stick my sorry excuse for a team anyday over a team that has to but new players every year just to make the playoffs. Our last title was using mostly home grown talent and we dominated. Your team has the largest payroll in baseball and limp into the playoffs. I have plenty of memories of my Reds, some good some heart breaking. As for never getting the chance to watch my team win a title? Ours may come before your next.
My favorite team is the Angels. I grew up in SoCal and never liked the Dodgers. My first game was Angels vs. Royals back in '73 or so, and that only solidified who my favorite team would be. The Angels sucked back then, but I stuck with them and they've remained my favorites through thick and thin.
Obviously, I'm very happy with how the 2008 season is going, and positively ecstatic that they FINALLY brought in a big bat to help them in the playoffs. I just hope that Big Tex can mesh with these guys.
I still get goosebumps and even a bit misty eyed seeing replays of the Angels finally winning it all in 2002. After all the near misses and, let's face it, choke jobs of the past, the World Series title was something I didn't think I'd ever see in my lifetime until it actually happened.
