Lashley showed he's got nothing!
Didn't know how to mount, and no submissions.
You want the most boring fight ever - put him against Lesnar and let them push each other around.
Any true MMA'er (beyond a broken tomato can like Jay Guida) would have put a leg lock on this brut, like Fedor and that giant asian.
Clay would have at least cardio'ed him out (though he couldn't take this hamhock's pounding).
Anyone ranked over 10 in middleweight or heavier with Zuffa (UFC/WEC) would have taken this guy.

He did show that he isn't as advanced as you would expect a headliner to be. But, he's not a headliner so that should be expected. He gets a lot of attention because of the WWE stuff but he's still a n00b to MMA.

At least Lashley is well aware that he has a lot of learning to do before he is up there with the top guys at HW. I am glad he is taking small steps rather than just making the leap to big time promotions where he would sell on name recognition alone.

Oh, and that "giant Asian guy" is Hong Man Choi.

One other thing, there is no middleweights/light heavyweights/heavyweights in the WEC anymore, so you can just say UFC in that case.

And Fedor submitted him with an armbar not a leglock.

I haven't either. I don't know if one exists. All I'm saying is you shouldn't post a story about a midget fighter if you don't get to see a video of him fighting. It's just a tease.

From the video of wrestling, he's wearing prosthetics - how are they gonna do that? Too hard = clubs!
This guy got out there despite it, but not obviously as extreme:

And btw Newports, in response to my drunken Lashley post- yeah I coulda burned calories on the finer points -
but Choi, and so far all these other gorillas, are gas-out sideshows, Zuffa at least knows it - proven by giving a broken Couture to Lesnar.
And you're dim if you think Lashley has either had an offer from the big show or would turn one done. 'Putting in his time' puhleese...
I'd bet on four guys I know here at Quest that would kill any one of these neandrethals, but commercial draw is what it's become - just like the rest of sport - otherwise he'd be doing satellite shows, not televised cards, to 'learn'.

And for all the fairy-tale lovin' WWE nerds out there, STFU - those of us close to real gyms are laughing at this bullshit - and are also pretty scared that what we risk is the ruin, or at least watering down, of a great sport.
