I removed a similar Trojan from a machine about two years ago. What I'm about to suggest isn't "easy," but it can solve your troubles if you follow it step-by-step.

First, download HijackThis:

As you may have already found out, your problem is common.

Lastly, be careful where you to get porn. Try not to catch a bad lurgy again.

I burned them straight to DVD.
Thing is though, I can access all my files on a different computer (than the one i burned it from), except for this one particular folder.

SuperAntiSpyware is good. Here are some other free options...

http://www.threatfire.com/ - Just an added layer of protection plus it has a full malware system scan

http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Down...nVersion/1/42/ - Very good on demand scanner, but slow

http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/ - specializes in malware - different than viri or spyware, although it will catch those also.

If those don't work, you can always try online scans. F-Secure and trendmicro offer ones.

Use an online virus scanner, it cant/wont get corrupted then you can start installing the new software.

Used this one a few times, has built in detectors for trojans etc too

In the past I have had luck googling whatever is being detected and "manual removal". In your case it would be what is in red above.

You should find something that spells out what you have to clean in the registry and a few other files that you may need to delete.

Then you need to feel comfortable messing with the registry. Backup up everything that you wouldn't want to lose and start digging in the registry. If you do mess it up dig out your reinstall discs and start reinstalling your OS. Then install some good antivirus software.

Then go find some more porn.

My parents cpu had the same problem a few months ago. I ended up formatting it and reloading windows. No problems since.

I'm sure someone pointed this out or you may already be aware, but if you copy/pasted that warning, I'd say your faux window error is the actual trojan. When you're hitting yes, you're initializing the virus. Just sayin' since no one has mentioned it. The fact it's full of spelling and grammar errors...

This could be an extremely long shot, but if that warning is coming up on boot to the desktop, check this key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon --> Look for 'Shell' on the right, and make sure the value in the Data column only states 'explorer.exe' without the quotes.

Same key for XP and Vista.

If there's something other than explorer.exe, delete it. I used to get virus calls by the dozen a few years back with that one.

If that doesn't cut it, it's probably in your startup, services, or processes group. Unless you know what you're doing there, I'd go with what the other guys suggested. Online virus scanner, or FFR (FDisk (now Fucking, I guess, with FDisk falling into disuse on NTFS drives), Format, Reinstall).

Good luck.

As for the dude with the unreadable folder, it's a bad sector on the optical disk. Best chance of reading it is to reinstall the program used to burn the disk in the first place. Some proggies have proprietary burning tools like Roxio's old UDF piece of shit that can only be read by the original program on a certain OS (sometimes). Stupid upper and lowerfilters skin the optical drive drivers. Anyone remember the disappearing CD drive problem when XP was released? Roxio sucks ass.

Could be you encrypted the folder with Windows tools too, and you didn't back up the cipher key. Then you're fucked. No way of getting it back.
