My wife asked me if I believe in god and I simply told her to prove to me that God, Jesus and the bible written a few hundred years after the events took place.

She asks me what I believe in and told her "facts", not one religion can PROVE anything written in their respective testaments.

And strangely enough I told her that I doubt if God were coming back to earth he would come back on a potato chip, or the side of a building after the windows were washed

Dude, it doesn't matter what or who you believe in.

The religions of the world are essentially guidelines to follow (if you wish) to be a good person and respect your fellow man.

I'm Catholic but am taking a break from church after watching the Zeitgeist movies even though it is a primer for the Venus Project . There's always the dark side of religions and I think that that's what John Lennon was eluding to.

The wolf can work the glory holes as far as I care.

I don't know what I believe in exactly, and since I fill my life with other things (work, reading, p0rn, etc) I generally don't have a lot of time to sit around and ponder. I think the problem is that atheists don't have anyone to blame... they can't say "why did god let my wife run off with that circus midget and not take the fucking kids with her?" or ask themselves "what would jesus do if his wife's sister wanted to fuck but was on the rag and not into anal?" What scares me more than any religion are the followers of any religion that are so goddamned pious and righteous and clueless at the same time. That kind of fervor almost always leads to bad things.

Freedom of religion. One of the basic tenants of American independence. However, slander is still illegal. Is that what we're talking about?
