ive never seen so much favre hate. i love it. I think the worst thing about all this is that farve is god in green bay. and he took those 15 (ithink) seasons and flushed it down the toilet to go and sign with their division rival. even the most hardcore packers fans must be sick to their stomach.

I can see him still wanting to play its just the way it plays out the last several years is what has turned my stomach. At least it should be interesting if he signs with the Vikings.
being in my early 20's and growing up in wisconsin favre was the only qb i've known and loved. he was an extremely entertaining player and undoubtably one of the top 5 quarterbacks to ever play the game. i grew up idolizing the guy for his talent and incredible toughness so to see him burn so many bridges just to get back at one man is beyond disappointing for me and i've lost all respect i had for him. i hope "sticking it" to ted thompson is worth it for you brett, actually fuck that, i hope you break your back on the 50 yard line at lambeau you stupid fuck.
I like watching him play. Is it his fault or the Team that hires him? I must admit, being from Boston, he fucked the Patriots out of the playoffs last year.

it's pretty fuckin simple actually. If you can play better - go beat him in camp. Otherwise hold your clipboard, remote clicker, microphone or beer in your hand (whichever applies) and shut the fuck up. I especially love the retired players that complain about him...really? Step off the tv set and knock him on his ass if you know better than him.
And I'm no Favre fan. My hero retired a Super Bowl MVP and Back to Back Champion which is a cool way to ride into the sunset but it was HIS choice. Favre ought to do Wilson or Rawlings commercials and spoof Charleton Heston "They can have this fuckin' ball when they pry it from my cold dead hands"

why is everyone hating on favre? the man wants to play a game he loves.
maybe the fact that im an O's/cal ripken fan, but i think that legends should get a free pass and stay as long as they like. as long as they can still perform, they have earned the right to go out when they choose.

Milly, seriously.
You can you justify retiring from the Packers after setting the records, winning the Super Bowl, crying like a bitch all over the sports world's media and then going back on your word to play for the Jets.
The fucking JETS!!!
Play a year, decide to retire again only to re-open the door again starting speculation that you may go play for the Vikings (your former arch rival with the Packers).
Favre's decisions and actions can not be justified or rationalized in the sports world and professional football. He needs to grow up and retire like a man. If he plays for the Vikings, he will suffer a career ending injury.
Guys don't pull this kind of shit when it comes to sports.[/favrecastration]

^^^ you forgot leading the Jets 1/5 down the stretch largely because you were hiding an injury - essentially putting your ego above the teams' as you had a backup.
And headed down the same path with Minnesota - but curley's right, the team that hires him is the real fool.

except thats not really how it happened. he was kinda pushed out of gb......decided he wanted back......they dicked him after handling negotiations through the media......then wouldnt let him go where he wanted. so then he goes to ny, they build him up to be the savior, he does alright........then they basically drop him. no chance they were bringing him back. he still wants to play.......so then what? a guy that has given so much to the league, has made the nfl and the packers millions and millions of dollars......he still wants to play!! let him play.
