I have to say I can't resist Ramsay either, he is ridiculous and very over the top but it does provide good entertainment. The American versions are extremely cheesey which can make it funny, the British shows he does tend to be more focused and you can see he talks much more eye-to-eye with the British too.
Other favourites include: Dexter Weeds Reno 911 Lost and Heroes but they are both a bit too stupid to enjoy properly Flight of the Conchords Skins Never Mind The Buzzcocks (funny British pop quiz show) QI (Stephen Fry is my hero!) The Apprentice (UK) There are quite a lot, and probably a lot more, oddly I always find myself saying I don't watch much TV - but it looks like I watch far too much of it now.

I can honestly say I have not watched cable in well over a year. But with that, I have (like so many of you fine DSFers) download everything I want to watch. So on my watch list: Lost 24 The Office Entourage Family Guy The Shield (I'll watch repeats of this until I drop dead) I stroll through Hulu every now and again and will catch some random shit, but that's about it.

It kinda sucks that you limey types can watch American shows, but we only get BBC America. (which is basically HGTV) Or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. I really don't watch that much TV except for sports. But I do love these shows....
Big Bang Theory How I Met Your Mother Two and a Half Men Iron Chef (the japanese one)(which isn't on anymore) Everyday Italian-with Giada DiLaurentiis(bcuz I could stare at her rack forever) Family Guy Three Sheets (the best drinking show of all time)  American Chopper and.... just about anything on the History Channel

I also watch: Burn Notice Psych Lost How I Met Your Mother Office 30 Rock Californication Dexter and sadly much more, I watch entirely too much TV

Reno 911 And The Andy Griffith Show. I know the title says "current favorite TV shows", not "Favorite Current TV Shows", but Andy Griffith is still a classic.

Gordon Ramsey's the F word is a proper way to swash an hour.
Lost sucked Ellen Degenerate's sour scabby tart for the first three seasons but is now something of a marvel. Smallville is always good, even when it's not. And when all else fails, i watch NGC or History channel, except of course when they're talking about the bible God or Christ, then I want to cut of their fucking heads like a proper zealot.
