Gilbert Yvel is a big, talented kickboxer from Holland, but he is a fucking lunatic. He's been DQed for eye gouging Don Frye(I think) and he KO'd a ref in one of his fights because the ref was doing weird shit with positioning on a restart.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Pretty sure Barnett will take him down and sub him. Yvel should have the advantage standing unless his striking has gone to shit.

there's a better chance of him knocking out the ref than ko'ing barnett. and frankly i'm pretty surprised he's going to be allowed to fight here. he was supposed to be in the last pride card in the us but he was turned down. if i were a bettin man i'd say this fight wont materialize
also barnett doesnt seem to have the drive to fight anymore. i'm sure he wont fight much longer and will soon retire to japan to go into pro wrestling full time. at this point i no longer see him as one of the elite of the division. he has/had all the tools to be very good, and he was for a LONG time but i dont think he is anymore.
any of you guys watch the pacquiao de la hoya fight? complete and utter destruction of the golden boy by pac man. manny landed well over 3x as many power punches. crazy

Nope. I'm trying to expand my horizons, but MMA is really the only combat sport I watch. I did see some K1 today, but still not much western boxing. The last boxing fight I saw was Hatton vs. Mayweather.
so you saw badr hari work on his best wanderlei silva impression?
and i love k1. i got into well before i started to like mma. this was back in the days you could hack into your cable box to get pirated streams. then around 2000 or 2001 it became nearly impossible to watch it here in the states so i lost interest but now that it's being shown on hdnet i'm pumped again. no more 2 am blurry internet streams for me!!
