why have guilt for something you didnt do?

yeah everything that hurt people in the past sucked but i didnt do it and i dont condone it so why should i treat anyone any different bc something shitty happened. its society taking a step back.


when i first got my dog i was out shopping with her and two ladies came up to me to pet her mother and daughter, while he mother was petting my sweet little angel i saw she had numbers on her arm and it broke my heart bc she went through something awful, i didnt apologize bc i didnt do it to her. nothing i said or felt was gonna change it. everytime i think about it it makes me happy that she can still enjoy life, something as small as my friendly puppy made her smile

Maybe people don't want to be reminded either. Most of us went through something horrible in our lives, and if you didn't you are lucky. I'm sure they weren't looking for an apology from you.
