but on a brighter note i finally won a decent parlay bet with dos santos, miller and maynard. too bad i sucked so bad previously and only had 127 bucks to wager. and thankfully jr won otherwise i would have looked like a total clown for hyping him so much. alves looks pretty damn good and a fight against gsp(or bj i guess) should be a great fight. he's definitly the fighter of the year with wins over karo, hughes and now kos, all of which were comfortably in the top ten when he fought them. i wonder if he'll get another fight before a title shot because he could be on the sidelines for a long time and that would be a shame.
the next wec event is going to be better than ufc 90 and 91 combined. for as much as dana and the rest of the ufc are trying to hype 91 it looks like it will be an absolute dud. but at least we get to see wrestlin' superstar brock lesnar lay on top of a 45 year old man for 25 minutes, which is a good thing, right?
There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there?

I'm looking forward to it. Stevenson vs. Florian has real potential. Having said that, I would rather see the WEC than UFC 91. I really want to see two of the fights on the UFC main card, but I want to see all 5 on the WEC card. Of course, I can't believe the WEC isn't bigger than it is. The fight cards are as good or better and it's free. The only thing it lacks is fame for some of the fighters which I could give a fuck about. The fights are better.

no the money isn't real. this is similar to a fantasy league (you can wager on fights as well as pick winners and how the fight ended) and a couple of us setup a group.

- CHRIS LEBEN TESTS POSITIVE FOR STEROIDS

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has suspended fighter Chris Leben for nine months and fined him one-third of his fight purse following a positive drug test for the steroid Stanazolol after his loss to Michael Bisping at UFC 89 in England in October. The news was reported by Dave Meltzer of Yahoo! Sports.
The UFC has long stood by drug testing of the athletes competing for the promotion, even overseas in England where they have no formal athletic commission to handle the process.
At these events, the UFC leans on former head of the Nevada State Athletic Commission and now UFC vice president, Marc Ratner, to handle the duties normally handled by an overseeing committee like the athletic commissions in the United States.
Leben has never tested positive before, but this is still a major setback in his career.
“I am obviously disappointed with Chris, who has made great strides getting his life back on track,” UFC president Dana White told Meltzer. “To his credit, he has taken responsibility for his actions and is accepting the punishment that has been handed down. But as always, the UFC puts the safety of its athletes first and foremost, and we won’t tolerate anyone using performance enhancing drugs in our organization.”
According to the report, the UFC tested all 22 athletes on the card before and after the fights, and Leben to date is the only fighter who has tested positive for illegal substances.

no not real money. the odds they give on their are odds no real sports book gives. You'll see three fights with guys who are higher than +600 which are odds you rarely see even once on real betting.
and that shit sucks about Leben. I guess he'll always be his own worst enemy.
