Hurricane Sandy and Starland
Due to damages the Starland Ballroom sustained as a result of Hurricane Sandy, it is necessary to cancel most scheduled shows at the Sayreville, NJ venue until Spring 2013. The following shows are canceled, with no makeup dates or relocations scheduled: Rusko (10/30), Social Distortion (11/1-2), Matisyahu (11/3), Pretty Lights (11/6), Cody Simpson (11/7; a new show has been announced at the Count Basie Theatre for 1/21, though Starland tickets will not be honored), Robert Randolph & The Family Band (11/8), Motion City Soundtrack (11/10), Motionless In White (11/11), A$AP Rocky (11/17), 40 Below Summer (12/1), X - Reverend Horton heat (12/7), Monster Magnet (12/15), New Found Glory (12/10), Artie Lange (12/23), Killswitch Engage (12/28),Clutch (12/30), Badfish (1/5), Yellowcard 1/12), DATSIK (1/18), Black Veil Brides (1/20), Aaron Lewis (1/24, originally 11/4), Hot Water Music (1/25), The Used (1/30) Lee Brice (2/1), Almost Queen (3/29) Ticketholders for these shows are entitled to a full refund, fees included. Customers who bought tickets online or via phone will receive a refund in 7-10 business days. Refunds for tickets purchased at Starland Ballroom’s Box Office can be turned-in for a full refund plus service fees during new hours of operation - Thursdays and Fridays from 3-6pm and Saturdays from 11am-2pm. The Box Office will not be open on Thanksgiving. Customers who bought tickets from an artist fan club or local band should contact those organizations for their refund. 2012 SeasonPass ticket holders will be permitted to use remaining vouchers in 2013. Please stand by for final word on our shows with Scott Weiland and The Starting Line. The last two weeks in New Jersey have been a testament to our state’s resilience. We’ve witnessed New Jersey’s worst days, but also its greatest humanity. We’ve seen destruction, but we’ve also seen hope, hard work and determination. Our situation at Starland is a microcosm of these scenarios -- yet one we realize is significantly less important than one’s home, family or livelihood. Hurricane Sandy devastated our electrical system and damaged our sound, lighting, heating / cooling and plumbing systems – all necessary ingredients in operating a public venue. Because of this, we do not anticipate being able to open again until Spring 2013. We regret that any of these shows are going away, but not as much as we regret the pain, suffering and destruction experienced by our customers throughout the Garden State. Much like the spirit of New Jersey, you can't stop rock n' roll. And we don’t intend to. Jersey proud, Starlanders. We’ll see you soon. Guess it's Crocodile Rocks in Allentown PA. for that one...
