uggh. i just finished watching sundays episode of "the pacific". im assuming that was the series finale. what a fucking disappointment. not just that episode, but the whole fucking show. i was really hoping for "band of brothers 2". the pacific front of the war was one of the most important, and the most brutal, and i feel like that wasnt portrayed at all. it was a horrible show. i waited such a long time to watch it, and was completely disappointed. anyone else watch it all?

cant say i really agree. i think it was just poorly done. they followed several characters in "band of brothers". i think they just tried to do things differently, and were not successful

What I mean is that in Band of brothers you got to know a group of characters as they were in the same place at the same time doing the same thing.

In the Pacific we bounced back and forth between the 3 and other than maybe two or three other characters I had no idea who anyone was so didn't care about them.

I didn't think the seires was terrible but it wasn't as good.

Next I'd like something about WW1

I'd watch that. Think that would be pretty cool. Personally I'd quite like to see Vietnam done too.

I agree with whats been said - it's not as good as it could have been, which does seem to me to be cause I don't care about the characters as much. Still pretty good I feel though.

The Civil War was almost literally in some places the war of brother against brother. I think it would be good to see how it gets done, but I'm afraid they'd try to make it too preachy or proselytize about the evils of this or that or whatthefuckever.
