can we, as americans, stop calling sports teams from america "world champions" when they didn't actually play anyone else from the rest of the world??

i realize world series is what its called, so i can deal with that, even though theyre not World Champs, but the NFL, and the NBA and (NHL? i dont watch it) teams, players, commentators, fans need to realize we're not actually the whole world.

I think the past 8 years(this last lympics notwithstanding) has proven the NBA can't just expect that they are the "World Champs"

He even admitted to Turner he blew it---but that's the rules of NFL--once the whistle is blown, the play is dead. The challenge was just for the spot of the ball. Chargers were screwed. Maybe we'll see a rule change?? who knows.
