I'm in Texas too and I'm still considering going because that card is fucking stacked. Ringside is on 1100 each. Probably another 400 more for plane & hotel. Seems reasonable enough to me.

Not enough, but I'm a fan of compound lifts. Doing shit like bicep curls just seems like a waste of time to me. I gotta run for now, but I'll try to post some examples a little later.
You can add others if you get really into it and want to train specific body parts, but each of those exercises trains several different muscle groups. If you're a beginner doing the ones I listed above is a great place to start. I also like certain bodyweight exercises like dips, chin ups & some others. I'll include a link to some body weight exercises. There are some good ones & some crappy ones on each list so you'll just have to find what interests you.

I knew I'd forget something. You asked about splits.
When first starting out I'd go with a full body workout twice a week. You could also do an upper/lower split, but I like full body because it lets you break up deadlifts & squats into two different days. Those are both hard as hell so doing them on the same day sucks.

I'd definitely do it if I had the funds available, as it might be the last chance to see Fedor fighting in the US. I'll have to settle for the PPV.
I'm surprised they added his brother to that card as well, I had thought he wasn't able to get a visa; but either way Aleks E vs Buentello should be a high intensity fight.
anybody on here ever watch Ninja Warrior on G4? One of the Gracie daughters or nieces was on that show, and the show is pretty cool itself. It has had 20 different events and only 2 people in history of the show have ever made it threw all 4 stages.

I like Aleks but I love Buentello. He was in town for some local fights about a month ago and ended up training a couple of days at the gym I go to. Fucking awesome.

did he try his "Don’t fear me...........fear the consequences" on you guys ? and all joking aside that's pretty badass. it's always nice to hear how down to earth most of these guys are.
unfortunatley i think this fight is going to be over fast, think arlovski-buentello. i like paul but he doesnt have the type of hands aleks has
