I used this to quit smoking. I got lucky with it and was only on it for a little over a week. On the third day I didn't want to smoke anymore, and not long after I didn't want to take the pills anymore either. Then I was happy.
And I say I got lucky with it, because I've heard from one person that it made her really moody and I believe Chantix got sued by families of people that committed suicide while taking it.

yeah, im reading a lot of negative, scary things about it. im worried about her taking it, but have agreed to her taking it for a week and then we will go from there......

Yeah if there isn't major progress after a week get her to try something else. It works by affecting the dopamine levels in your brain, and anything that messes with brain chemistry is risky business.

It takes at least a week to really kick in. It's basically an antidepressant. You have to build up your levels over time. She will be fine. It's worth it, if it helps her quit smoking. Thing is as soon as you come off, you want to smoke again.
