Yep, it's a kidney stone. Woke up around 6pm, took a shower and then the pain started. About 100x worse then it was last night. So I called my friend to take me to the emergency room. They gave me some pain killer/anti inflammatory medicine in my IV. Took blood and urine samples. Came back and said that my urine contained blood, "red blood cells too numerous to count." So they sent me to have a CT scan done. 2mm stone in my ureter; the narrow tube that runs from the kidney to the bladder. They say it's almost to the bladder so it shouldn't be long before it passes. Once it's in the bladder the painful part should be over as the urethra is much larger then the ureter. They gave me diclofenac potassium for the pain and Flomax to help pass it. Apparently the theory is that Flomax relaxes the ureter allowing a stone this size to easily pass into the bladder.

I had one about 10 years ago. I woke up in the middle of the night because it felt like someone stabbed me with a steak knife. It hurt so bad I would puke every time I tried to drink water or take a painkiller. After about 10 hours or so, the pain stopped. I did not go to the hospital until I pissed blood. I will never drink Surge again.
