Rather than a like button, of which I think the term as a little gayish, why not a Thank You button?

About #4 - I have to admit I'm open to anything that fixes the downloading problem, but before we use a lot more usernet, a techtorial might be in order, especially for idiots like me who know nothing about them.
I agree wholeheartedly about #5.
As for #6, the reason I was told about the reason for coding is exactly like you said, it keep DSF from having threads linked in search engines, so it keeps ppl like the RIAA, the MPAA and the porn police from hassling the forum. If link anonymizer will do the trick and make posting simpler, I think everyone should be in favor of it. The main thing is to keep the asshole regulatory agencies from fucking with this forum. I quite sure some of you remember when the Spoof thread got deleted because there was a hassle with the company that produces them. And what about the thread that was moved to the private members sub-forum because of a similar hassle.

I agree with striker about the Credit system if the reason it was created for in the first place isn't resolved. It was supposed to promote ppl to be more involved with posting more and a way of rewarding them for it. In return, member were supposed to be able to exchange their credit for shirts, gifts, privileges and file host memberships. Little to none of that materialized.
As far as the rep system, one idea comes to mind. Is there a way to program it so even if you haven't spread around enough reps to others, maybe you have to only wait a day or 2 to be able to rep the same person, especially if they are laying down some especially good posts and you really think they deserve the kudos.
That's my 2 cents for what it's worth. I hope some of it helps.
