If it wasn't on the same show as Fitch & GSP, would have had a good chance of those guys taking home fight of the night. That first round was really awesome, McDonald really impressed me.

Personally, I think 4 of those fighters (the bottom 4) are bad matches for Lesnar. If the UFC is really trying to build a brand with this guy, I wouldn't be putting him against any big submission specialists. He clearly doesn't know any submissions and I think he'll leave his legs open to get caught again (no chance you're triangling that neck, or lack thereof). My guess is the UFC gives him Cain for his next fight.

Kongo would be good if they want to bring Brock up the ladder quicker. If they want to get him more experience in the cage they could give him Sanchez, Hardonk, or McCully to build up his wins and cage time with little risk of a loss.

The only problem is the fighters you mention have little name recognition and absolutely no chance of beating Lesnar (other than a punchers chance). I think they have to give him someone who will make for a competitive fight, but he'll beat. A solid bjj fighter has a better chance of beating him (I would recommend training turtle guard for the fight). I wouldn't be surprised if he fights Kongo, but we've all seen what Kong can do off his back, which is absolutely nothing.
Mind you I never said that Brock would be idiotic enough to go to the ground and take on Nog much like Barnett did a few years back. No No NO! I am saying Nog has this thing in his brain where he forgets he is a submission ninja and wants to finish fights on his feet. That is where he would get into trouble. Nog's standup is decent but a huge fist thrown from that giant monkey would not do Nog well. I would assume after 2 punches Nog would say "fuck standup gimme that toothpick leg of yours* and Lesner would be done.
I never doubt Nog no matter how badly he gets busted up Nog has that inate ability to finish fights long after a normal person would have fallen asleep.
Much akin to Fedor who looks like a sleepy bear till he decides *oh holy shit I am in a fight...ok done*. The only exception to that was against little Timmy. He came out and wanted to finish the fight to shut up the doubters.
So in closing Nog would destroy Lesner if Brock was stupid enough to take it to the ground. Standing up edge it to Brock but Brock would punch himself tired against Nog's metal skull.
