True it might be cheaper to buy a new one geared at gaming, but if you want help picking out parts just post the model number and I am sure myself, and many others can help suggest the best solution for the situation.

If you are looking for specs like Striker just priced, then a new system is in order. But if you can compromise on certain things I am sure you can satisfy the need/want to do a full overhaul.

Let me guess you want to have Fallout 3 maxed out??

if i do upgrade for fallout 3 ( which doesnt even run on my pc) i'll upgrade the hubbys pc cause thats hooked up to the lcd tv, which looks fucking orgasmic. Plus i gotta make some monies to do such things

I hear you. The a big screen is always a nice way to view a PC, different res settings sometimes, but all in all very nice. If you have a 2nd better PC (hubbys) then I would sink any upgrade into that as well. Use the Acer as a file server in the future, I love old PC's. People throw them away far too easily. They can be re purposed in a second.
