Okay so my mom is dead set on the fact that home owners insurance will go up if you have a certain dog breed. Like mine is an Amstaff/Rottie mix.

Is she full of shit or Am I just stupid?

I've heard of this but I've never been able to verify it cause none of my dogs are considered "harmful breeds"

See i've look all over my insurance agencys website about this and cant find anything. and our dog is a small horse we almost need to build him a stable to live in

HA! sounds like my golden, no shit he's 112 lbs and he's NOT overweight. The bastard has half inch gaps between his teeth!

My new mutt is 6 month old and 70 lbs and no where near done growing, I can only assume he's gonna be a huge bitch as well.

But for the insurance thing I would just call them to verify, I never had too cause i have a golden, a Dalmatian/Rodeshian Ridgeback Mix, and a Lapso

Every insurance company is different. Some will not cover you if you have one of the so-called attack breeds; dobie, rottie, pit, akita etc. Some raise the rates. Some don't care. It is not as prevalent here in the Pacific NW but I have a don't ask, don't tell policy at my house as we have two akitas and an akita/pit mix, plus a lab and a lab mix.
We are not door to door salesman friendly

I'm just North of Seattle. Somewhere between 15 minutes or two hours from downtown depending upon traffic

I thought San Francisco traffic was bad...

pisces ...... you have it right. Most people I know don't report their dogs to the insurance companies until it's too late and then they find out they aren't cover because the dog bit someone. It happens a lot here in West Palm Beach.

:

Swat just killed a pit bull today while trying to serve a warrant. they tried a fire extinguisher, first, which usually stop 90 to 95% of the attacking dogs, but it didn't even phase this one, so they had to shot it. The also hit some homeless guy sitting on the porch in the elbow. They don't know if it was a stray bullet or a ricochet off the dog.

They arrested 2 guy on suspicion on murder in regards to 2 guys that were found dead 3 blocks away from the house with bullet holes in them.

what sucks is those guys probably trained the dog to be an attack dog. Ours just is a family dog stupid asshole ruining dogs for everyone eles
